Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shefali Shah, and Aditi Rao Hydari were among the Bollywood actresses who spoke out against street harassment during a L’Oreal event held at the famed Gateway of India. It happened on October 4th. The event demonstrated the cosmetic brand’s everlasting dedication to — Stand Up Against Street Harassment.

Shefali Shah has now uploaded an Instagram photo from the event night including herself, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aditi Rao Hydari, Mandira Bedi, and singer Manasi Scott. The divas, dressed to the nines, expose their palms with the letter ‘D’ scrawled in black ink. To clarify, the 5D technique is part of L’Oreal’s anti-street harassment effort. Direct, Delay, Document, Distract, and Delegate are the 5Ds. Shefali Shah wrote in the caption, “#StopStreetHarassment Loreal India.”

L’Oreal India has also shared a bunch of glimpses from the event on Instagram. “Beneath the dark night sky, our brand L’Oreal Paris transformed the iconic Gateway of India into a #Gateway_to_Change. Through the 5D technique, L’Oreal Paris’ project aims to raise awareness of street harassment and provide individuals with the means to safely intervene. Navya Naveli Nanda, granddaughter of Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, was also tapped by the beauty business to cast light on it.

Meanwhile, Navya Naveli Nanda and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan both recently represented L’Oreal at Paris Fashion Week.
