Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise has ignited the debate of nepotism in the industry. The talks of new talents or the ‘outsiders’ being treated differently came to light, and now, Politician Raj Thackeray, head of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena appeals to artists to speak up if they face any injustice in the industry towards them, India TV reports claims.
The politician has decided to stand up with the new talents against the big-guns of Bollywood. From time to time, many stars from the industry who have faced discrimination regardless of their talents have opened up about it. Meanwhile, Mumbai Police is also recording statements of the people who were related to the late actor.
The Vice President of MNS, Vageesh Sarswat has also assured the artistes that the party claims to take appropriate action against such situations. He said, “If anyone is being harassed in the film industry if any gang is not letting an artist work, the artist should approach MNS. Raj Thackeray’s party will teach anyone practising nepotism a tough lesson.”
He also ordered Mumbai Police to investigate everyone on issues of nepotism in the industry, he said “Mumbai Police is investigating in the right direction. The police should question everyone on nepotism. It can be Bhansali or anyone else.”
During the investigation, it came to light that Sushant’s father, KK Singh was unaware of the actor suffering from depression and undergoing psychological treatment. While on the other hand, some of his co-actors have asserted that the actor was going through a low phase in his life.
