After seeing Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 2, Anil Kapoor praises, Vikram responds, “You so easily made my month”

Anil Kapoor praised Mani Ratnam and his Ponniyin Selvan team after seeing the sequel. Vikram stated that his statement meant a lot to him.

Anil Kapoor met Mani Ratnam and his wife Suhasini Maniratnam earlier this week after a screening of Ponniyin Selvan 2 in Mumbai. On Tuesday, the actor turned to Twitter to thank the film’s director and crew. He also thanked Mani for allowing him to be a minor part of the tale. Last year, he provided the voice for the Ponniyin Selvan 1 trailer. Vikram also replied to the legendary actor, saying that Anil’s remark meant a lot to him.

Anil shared photos of his interaction with Mani Ratnam at the screening in a series of tweets about Ponniyin Selvan 2. “Watching #ManiRatnam’s #PS2 was an exhilarating experience!” he wrote. Anil can be seen smiling and chatting with the filmmaker and his wife in the images. Anil and Mani have known each other for many years. For his Kannada film debut, Pallavi Anu Pallavi (1983), he collaborated with the director.

On Twitter, Vikram responded to the actor, writing, “Thank you Mr Kapoor. It means a lot coming from a stalwart like you. You effortlessly made my month.” In the sequel to the period drama, he plays Aditha Karikalan, whose prior affair with Aishwarya Rai’s Nandini takes front stage.

Ponniyin Selvan 2 also stars Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Jayam Ravi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Prakash Raj in addition to Vikram and Aishwarya Rai. The Tamil film, which is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s five-part novel series, has already grossed more than 200 crores globally.
