With ‘Aashiqui 2’ and ‘Malang’, Aditya Roy Kapur and Mohit Suri were all set to complete a hat-trick with the ‘Ek Villain’ sequel, which is titled ‘Do Villain’. The sequel features John Abraham in this battle, along with Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria in the leading roles.

After the great success of action-thriller ‘Ek Villain,’ the filmmakers excitedly announced the sequel ‘Ek Villain 2’ sometime back on social media. The preparations for the action thriller had already started and the actors had started prepping for their respective parts through video conferencing. The movie was supposed to go on the floors this month, but everything took a wrong turn when news broke out that Aditya Roy Kapur is no longer a part of the film.

“Adi was to sport multiple looks and had started working on his physique during the lockdown. But over the last month, there have been several creative disagreements between Mohit and him, following which they decided to part ways. The two used to be good friends once, but this has definitely affected the equation. Hopefully, it is temporary and Mohit and Adi will reunite soon.” revealed a source close to the development. The source further added that the director does not like anyone coming in the way of his vision or his work.

Meanwhile, the preparation for the movie is complete and the makers are contemplating multiple locations for the shoot. The search for Aditya’s replacement has already started, the team is currently looking for an actor who can hold his personality against John, who has a multidimensional character in the film.

“There are several confrontations between the two villains and Mohit, Ekta Kapoor and other producers are looking to cast a young actor with the personality to carry off shades of grey. He will be locked in a fortnight’s time,” the source revealed. Meanwhile, Aditya has reportedly signed another project and two of his films will be up for release soon.
