It’s a well stated fact that celebrities and media work co-dependently and many a times we have witnessed a tiff between the two which creates controversies. Recently, South Indian actress turned politician Khushbu Sundar landed in the soup of controversy when an organisation leaked her voice recording which was targeted on the Media.

In the leaked tape, Khushbu stated that due to pandemic, Media doesn’t have anything interesting to report and hence, they would rip apart the celebrities to dig intriguing stories. This audio tape is reportedly leaked by television producers. Khushbu is supposedly addressing this message to her friends which made its way to social media.

The Times of India quoted her as saying in the leaked clip, “More importantly, press people will somehow turn up. So, make sure you don’t give them a chance to take photos or videos. They are waiting to rip us apart. ‘Presskaaran’ doesn’t have any news other the COVID right now. So, they would be waiting to publish something about us once shooting resumes. So, please take care,”

After this audio tape viralled on social media, Khushbu tweeted to clarify the situation and wrote, “My voice message, an edited version, regarding the press is making rounds. It has gone from our producers’ group n I am ashamed to say we have such cheap minds among us. My intentions were clear n not meant to disrespect the press. Its a tone you speak within friends. 1/1.

In a series of tweets, she also gave an apology to the media and stated, “My respect for the press is for all to see and journalists can vouch for that. Not even once in my 34yrs of cinema they would have ever seen or heard me speaking to them nor about them in disrespect. The voice message is half. But my sincere apologies if I have hurt any of you, [sic]”

Interestingly, she mentioned in one of her tweets that she is aware of the person who leaked this tape and she believes in not calling the name and rather her silence and forgiveness is the biggest punishment for that person. Check out the tweet.
