Actor Sonu Sood has been at the forefront of this pandemic with his nonstop efforts towards social work. From helping migrants return home to providing people with jobs and helping students reach their examination centres, he’s done it all.

Recently, Sonu appeared on Neha Dhupia‘s talk show, ‘No Filter Neha’, where he discussed his social work as well as his career. During the interview, he jokingly said that director Anurag Kashyap has the superpower of vanishing after offering people films.

He revealed that a few years ago, Kashyap offered him a role in the film, ‘Gulaal’. He even told Sonu that he was the only actor who could play the part. Sonu then received the script and started practising his dialogues. However, Kashyap soon disappeared and stopped responding to Sonu’s calls. Eventually, the film was made with some other actor and Sonu was not even informed about his replacement.

The actor also talked about Kashyap’s other ‘superpowers’. He revealed that Anurag is very good at counting notes and earning money. He jokingly added that Kashyap counts very fast in the ‘desi Punjabi style’.

Just a day ago, Sonu offered his support to 350 boatmen In Varanasi. After activist Divyanshu Upadhyay asked for the actor’s help on social media, he provided ration kits to the struggling boatmen. Each ration kit contained 5 kg flour, 5 kg rice, 2 kg gram, and a packet of spices. The actor has also started a pandemic helpline.
