But doing so does not seem to be the brightest of options in this decade of remakes especially when South Indian films are getting more visibility among the North Indian public. Even though it could not succeed much in theatres, with its OTT release the film also seems to be doing decent number of clicks.
It must be noted that Bollywood has a history of remaking south films. Although some remakes including Ghajini, Kabir Singh, and others were indeed big hits others like Jersey, Bachchan Pandey, Sarfira were disappointments. Such inversions makes one to wonder whether remakes can be achievable in the current market or not.
