The perfectionist, Aamir Khan is known to play roles with extreme detailing, which is why his filmography is unique from others. He always comes as a different person in his next film. Be it playing the father of two daughters in Dangal or a wicked soldier in Thugs of Hindustan. But this time he is worried about the recent trend of movies releasing on OTT platforms instead of cinema theatres. In an event held in Mumbai, he said, “Some films are releasing on OTT platforms, and as a film person I am very concerned. I hope in near future things will improve.”
But he also understands the current situation and gave more emphasis on vaccinating more people before opening cinema halls. He said, “It is not easy to talk about reopening of cinema halls. Theatres can be opened up only when the health situation improves, and we control the Covid-19 situation as a society, we are all trying and working on it,” the actor said. He added, “As more and more people get vaccinated things will get better.”
But one of his friends of the B-Town Akshay Kumar seems to show the way to the industry. He is coming with his next film Bell Bottom on 19 August in the theatres. Hope filmmakers will follow the same way ahead to revive the dying theatres. The pandemic hit the cinema theatres severely, many of them have permanently closed and malls have opened in its place. On the work front, Aamir is current shooting for Laal Singh Chaddha in Srinagar.
