The police had earlier arrested six people for the attack on Allu Arjun’s house over Sandhya Theatre stampede row. All the accused have now been granted bail by a city court on Monday.

The protestors, who identified themselves as members of Osmania University Joint Action Committee, were arrested on Sunday, and brought before a judge at his residence on Monday morning. The judge ordered each accused to arrange two sureties (collaterals) of Rs. 10,000 each.

The accused were arrested from the superstar’s home in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, and were produced before the judge in Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad.

The protestors, on Sunday, had barged into the actor’s house shouting slogan – We Want Justice – and damaged the property. They were demanding Allu Arjun to pay compensation of Rs. 1 crore to the family of the woman, who lost her life due to the stampede like situation, during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule.

The police official shared that a few people holding placards suddenly rushed towards the actor’s residence and started sloganeering and one of them mounted the compound wall and started throwing tomatoes. When the security staff objected and persuaded them to get down, they got into an altercation.

On receiving the information, the police reached the place and took six persons into custody. They all claim to be part of OU-JAC and on enquiry, they have claimed that they were trying to protest against the actor seeking to help the victim’s family.
