Stree 2 collection: Rajkummar Rao-Shraddha Kapoor starrer nears Rs. 700 crore club 16 days after release

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2 has turned out to be a monster at the ticket windows, showing its dominance over all new releases running currently in Indian theatres. Such a marvelous run has kept it on track to enter the Rs. 700 crore club at the worldwide box office, and as per the latest development, it has now hit the Rs. 650 crore milestone in just 16 days.

Helmed by Amar Kaushik, the horror comedy is winning hearts around the world with its content. Riding high on the buzz of the Maddock Supernatural Universe and positive word-of-mouth, the film has achieved several milestones so far, with some exciting feats to be unleashed even in the future. Recently, in the overseas market, it crossed Rs. 100 crore gross.

Coming to the latest collection update, Stree 2 minted a mammoth Rs. 462.85 crore nett by the end of 16 days run at the Indian box office. The gross domestic collection including taxes amounts to Rs. 546.16 crores. In overseas, it has collected Rs. 104 crores gross so far. Combining the Indian and overseas gross, the worldwide box office collection stands at a gigantic Rs. 650.16 crores gross in merely 16 days.

While this is what is perceived, Stree 2 would enter the 700 crore club very soon worldwide, as the collection is expected to see a big surge during the third weekend. Meanwhile, it will surpass the lifetime of Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 which has grossed 685.19 crores to become the 8th highest-grossing film of all time from Bollywood.
