Animal has made Rs. 115 crore worldwide after taking into account its Rs. 74 crore Indian take. This makes it the third Bollywood film to make Rs. 100 crore in a single day.
At the international box office, Animal has made USD 4.90 million (Rs. 41 crore) as of Friday. This is a great start for the film. Previews from North America, where the movie made its Thursday night premiere, total USD 1.25 million. This is the third-biggest international opening for a Bollywood film ever, after Jawan and Pathaan. Animal is the third Bollywood film to ever earn more than Rs. 100 crore in a single day, with its global total of Rs. 115 crore after adding Rs. 74 crore from India.
Animals fared best in the western half of North America and the eastern half of Australia and New Zealand. Films starring Ranbir Kapoor usually do well here, and this time there was an extra benefit thanks to director Sandeep Reddy, who has strong influence over the Telugu diaspora, which is well-represented in these two areas.
On its first day, which included previews, North America brought in USD 2.95 million. Although there weren’t many films with previews, the movie set a de facto record for having the most previews of any Bollywood production. With a total of USD 1.70 million, the genuine Friday ranks third in the history of the sector. With almost CAD 600K, it was the biggest Friday in Canada, surpassing Pathaan’s CAD 540K.
The movie made AUD 535K on Friday in Australia, making it the second-highest opening day for a Bollywood movie in the country (AUD 567K), behind Pathaan. Similar to Pathaan (NZD 113K) on day one, New Zealand also performed well, finishing with NZD 105K. In other news, the Middle East performed admirably with USD 900K approximately, while the UK had the greatest opening day for a Ranbir-starring film with GBP 230K.
