Amitabh Bachchan who turned 78 year old on 11th October 2020, continues to inspire us. The legendary actor, who was diagnosed with COVID-19 was admitted to a hospital. However, soon after recovering, the actor made headlines as he resumed shooting for ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati‘. The shooting lasts as long as 15 hours everyday.
But this year, there have been several safety precautions that have been taken in order to maintain safety on the set. Big B’s stylist and Designer, Priya Patil recently shared that this year they are avoiding knots as it would mean constant touching and fixing.” Considering we are practicing physical distancing, we have introduced brooches and collar pins instead. They can be easily sanitized as well,” she said. Thus Patil confirmed that all his clothes are being sanitized before and after it arrives on the set.
“Once the outfits are tailored, we ensure minimum physical contact. When they are brought to the set at Film City, they are sprayed with disinfectants before being dispatched to his vanity van,” she said. Earlier the buttons and the fabric used to be outsourced from UK and Italy. But however due to Pandemic, it wasn’t possible. She also added, ” He embraces unusual silhouettes, so he is the easiest star to work with. There are times when I wonder if a particular piece will look appealing, but when Mr. Bachchan wears it, the outfit comes alive because of his charisma and personality. ”
We believe the same, Priya.
