Jawan: Shah Rukh Khan’s film achieves highest single-day box office collection on Sunday, approaching to ₹300 crore mark 

Jawan is on its way to become the largest film in Hindi cinema history, and SRK has every reason to rejoice.

Shah Rukh Khan, the ‘King’ of Bollywood, has once again demonstrated why he is known as such. His most recent film, Jawan, has shattered all records and is dominating the charts with its massive box office numbers on a daily basis. On Sunday, the film’s fourth day, Jawan earned the most money in a single day, giving all other releases a run for their money.

Jawan was launched on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami on September 7, and since then, SRK has been busy shattering records set by his own film, Pathaan, which was released in January of this year.

Jawan is on its way to become the biggest film in the history of Hindi cinema, and SRK has all the reasons to celebrate.

Jawan earned Rs 81 crore on Sunday, the most amount earned by the film in a single day so far.

With Rs 75 crore on its first day, the Atlee-directed film became the highest ever opener in Indian cinema history, followed by Rs 53 crore on the second day. On Saturday, the film’s third day, it made Rs 74.50 crore, making it the first Bollywood film to make more than Rs 200 crore in three days.

Jawan’s total box office collection is currently close to Rs 285 crore, and it will easily cross the Rs 300 crore mark on Monday.

Fans of SRK have gone crazy since Jawan hit theatres, as the film features a double dose of their beloved actor. SRK appears in the film as both a father and a son.

In the film, Nayanthara plays a tough officer, whereas Vijay Sethupathi plays a frightening cop.

Deepika Padukone has a powerful appearance in Jawan, and the film also stars Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sunil Grover, and others in key roles.
