‘JAWAN’ creates history on opening day with 75 crore

Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, is doing well in theatres, with mostly positive reviews. Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Yogi Babu, Sunil Grover, Simarjeet Singh Nagra, Azzy Bagria, and Manahar Kumar star in the film, which is directed by Atlee. Deepika Padukone makes a brief appearance in the film.

With Jawan’s teaser, SRK promised cinephiles an action-packed drama, and he delivered with the flick. According to trade reports, ‘Jawan’ grossed Rs 75 crore across all languages in India on Day 1. On Thursday, the Hindi version of the film had an overall occupancy of 58.67%. Chennai has the highest occupancy rate of 81%.

Meanwhile, trading expert Ramesh Bala stated on X (previously known as Twitter) that ‘Jawan’ is targeting a Rs 150 crore plus Day 1 worldwide opening.”

Jawan’ earned AUD 400,000 in Australia on Thursday. As a result, it is the first Indian picture to top the Australian box office. Meanwhile, the picture debuted at number one in New Zealand with NZ$ 79,805 (Rs 39.13 lakh). ‘Jawan’ launched at number three in Germany with Rs 1.30 crore. The picture is also doing well in North America, the United Kingdom, and Canada.

The film is expected to be a commercial success, with SRK playing both an intelligence officer and a robber. Filming took place in Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan, and Aurangabad. Anirudh Ravichander composed for the film and made his Bollywood debut as a solo composer.
