Actress and Philanthropist Bhagyashree Patwardhan were born on 23rd February in 1969, she is an Indian actress and social worker. The actress had her breakthrough from the movie ‘Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), with Salman Khan and is her best-known work to date. she even won a Filmfare award for best debut female in the 1990s.
After receiving the movie, she took less frequent roles in films and only starred in ‘Tyagi’ (1992) and ‘Rana’ (1998) and focused more on her married life with Himalaya Dasani. In the 2000s after being gone for 4 years she reappeared in various independent films like ‘Shotru Dhongsho’ (2002) and ‘Uthaile Ghoonghta Chand Dekhle’(2006) after doing these films she came back to do roles in films like ‘Humko Deewana Kar Gaye’(2006), Red Alert’: the war within(2010) and more.
In 2021 she came back into the film arena in the movie ‘Thalaivi’ and in 2022 she will be playing the role of Prabhas’ mother in ‘Radhe Shyam’.
In 2015 she became the brand ambassador of the Bhagyashree Scheme, launched by the Government of Maharashtra, the scheme caters to girls child from below the poverty line.
