Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma is well-known for her anti-cruelty to animals stance, recently uploaded a touching video of a guy offering affection to a puppy. The video, which appears to have been recorded in Old Delhi, shows a man holding a dog in his arms while being mocked by people around him.
She shared the video on Instagram Story and wrote,“Paagal toh woh hain jo insaaniyat nahi samjhein, aap toh…” It loosely means, “Those who fail to understand mankind are mad. You are..” She then included love and applause emojis in her story.
In a video, another man nearby labelled him as ‘paagal’ which means mad or crazy in English, when the man kissed the dog on the paw. After that, the second man advises him to consider taking the puppy home, which the first man agrees to do.
He said, “Ye dekho godi mein lelia maine”
It loosely means, “See, I am holding it in my arms.” He went on to say that people should aid the voiceless and feed biscuits to the puppies. He then inquires of those who are filming his video by saying, “Paagal bata rahe. Batao main paagal hu ji? Ye kitna accha sundar pilla. Ye bolta nahi hai kuch bhi lekin pyaar itna karta hai”
It loosely means, “he’s accusing me of being mad. Am I mad? This is a lovely puppy. He doesn’t speak much, yet he adores everyone.”
Hum Delhi uploaded this clip on Instagram which went viral within seconds. Lots of people praised the man’s efforts towards animal protection and his affection towards puppy in the comments section of the post.
Anushka is an animal lover who frequently advocates for better treatment of animals. She expressed her support for harsher animal cruelty laws in 2020. Virat Kohli, her husband, disclosed on Twitter that the goal of these shelters is to “ensure health and support to stray animals.” He praised Anushka for always being an inspiration to him.
