Actress Anusha Dandekar, currently basking in the success of her latest Marathi film Juna Furniture, recently took to social media to address some rumours circulating about her. In an Instagram story posted on June 5, Anusha clarified misconceptions about her personal life and her alleged participation in the upcoming season of Bigg Boss OTT 3.

Addressing Personal Rumors

Days after her ex-boyfriend, actor Jason Shah, claimed in an interview that Anusha didn’t understand him and tried to fit him in a box, Anusha responded. She expressed her frustration with the media’s focus on her past relationships and false news. “At this point, if you Google my name, first it was me trying to fit someone in a box! Lies! And now this. Another lie!” she wrote. Anusha emphasized that she does not want to make headlines because of her past relationships or fake news.

Clarifying Bigg Boss OTT 3 Participation

Anusha also addressed rumors about her participation in Bigg Boss OTT 3. Multiple media outlets had reported her as a contestant for the new season. She shared screenshots of these articles on her Instagram story, stating, “I’ve not spoken to anyone and they won’t even call me for this show coz they know my answer. I should be paid for the PR though.” Anusha added that she finds it flattering that people want to use her name but urged the media to focus on the truth.

Highlighting “Juna Furniture” Success

Anusha took the opportunity to shift the focus to her professional achievements. She proudly highlighted the success of her film Juna Furniture, which has been running in cinemas for almost seven weeks. “How about you all start speaking some truths like how my film – Juna Furniture – is on its 6th week in cinemas, almost 7th now, and what a great film it is! There are some facts! Go watch it,” she urged her followers.

For those unfamiliar with the backstory, Jason Shah, in an interview with ETimes, discussed his spiritual transformation following his breakup with Anusha. He mentioned, “The other person didn’t really understand me and I felt they were trying to make me fit in their box. And that is not going to happen, right?” The couple had confirmed their relationship in April 2021 but had a public breakup a few months later, in August.

Jason Shah is currently receiving acclaim for his role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi, where he plays Alastair Cartwright. Anusha Dandekar, on the other hand, continues to make waves with her performance in Juna Furniture, starring alongside Mahesh Manjrekar and Bhushan Pradhan. The film, which premiered on April 26, has been well-received by audiences.
