Aamir Khan returns to Mumbai to vote in Lok Sabha elections amid busy shooting schedule

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, who was in Delhi shooting for his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par, made a quick trip back to Mumbai to cast his vote in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. He was accompanied by his former wife and filmmaker, Kiran Rao, to the polling booth.

On Monday, Aamir was seen in high spirits outside the polling booth after exercising his right to vote. The actor kept his look casual yet stylish, wearing a black T-shirt and jeans, paired with black shoes. His former wife, Kiran Rao, complemented his vibe with a comfy outfit consisting of loose-fitted shorts and a white top. Both Aamir and Kiran were all smiles for the paparazzi as they proudly flaunted the ink marks on their fingers.

Aamir’s Kids Vote in Mumbai

Aamir’s daughter, Ira Khan, and son, Junaid Khan, were also spotted at a polling booth in Bandra. They posed for the cameras after casting their votes. Ira kept it casual in a T-shirt and tights, while Junaid opted for a T-shirt and shorts. The family’s active participation highlights their commitment to the democratic process.

Bollywood Stars at the Polling Booths

On Monday, several Bollywood celebrities, including Akshay Kumar, Shahid Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, and Janhvi Kapoor, were seen at their respective polling booths in Mumbai. These stars urged their fans and followers to exercise their right to vote. Elections in six Lok Sabha seats of Mumbai are underway for Phase 5. The 2024 Lok Sabha elections are being held in seven phases, running from April 19 to June 1, with the counting of votes and results declaration on June 4.

Aamir’s Work Schedule

Despite his busy schedule, Aamir Khan took time off from his shoot to fulfill his civic duty. Last week, Aamir was spotted in Delhi’s New Friends Colony, busy shooting for Sitaare Zameen Par. Pictures from the set went viral, showing Aamir surrounded by crew members and child actors. He flew to Delhi with around 11 child actors. The film’s storyline revolves around the Paralympic Games, an international sports competition for athletes with disabilities.
