The low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and the adjacent South Andaman Sea has now completely transformed into a low pressure area. Due to this, the risk of cyclonic storms is increasing. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning in this regard on Wednesday. It has been told what kind of change is going to occur in the weather in the Bay of Bengal, which is also going to take the form of a storm.
The Meteorological Department has said that the kind of weather conditions that have developed are expected to move towards the west-northwest direction. These weather conditions will gradually develop into a deep depression in the south of the Bay of Bengal by November 30. It is also expected that it will strengthen further and within the next 48 hours, it will turn into a cyclonic storm ‘Michaung’ over the south-west and adjacent south-east Bay of Bengal.
Possibility of heavy rain
According to the report of Hindustan Times, the department has also said that light to moderate rain is expected at most places in the Nicobar Islands. Between November 29 and December 1, heavy to very heavy rains may be seen in the Nicobar Islands. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain at most places in the Andaman Islands. Very heavy rain can also be seen on 30th November.
Warning of high speed winds also received According to IMD, strong winds will blow at a speed of 25-35 kilometres per hour, which is also expected to reach 45 kilometres per hour. These winds are expected to blow in the southern Andaman Sea and adjacent Andaman and Nicobar Islands on November 29. In the south-east of the Bay of Bengal on November 30, winds can blow at a speed of 40-50 km per hour to 60 km per hour.
By December 1, the speed of these winds is expected to reach from 50-60 kilometres per hour to 70 kilometres per hour. On December 2, these winds can reach 60-70 kilometres per hour up to 80 kilometres per hour.
