As reported earlier, monsoon had stalled in parts of Maharashtra due to Cyclone Biparjoy. But the winds are now strengthening. It has been predicted that the monsoon will reach Maharashtra in 3-4 days.

The next 24 hours to witness the possibility of light to moderate rainfall along with a few heavy spells in South, Central and Eastern parts of Rajasthan, parts of West Madhya Pradesh, Northeast India, Sikkim, parts of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep, and South Karnataka.

The possibility of light to moderate rainfall is over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, parts of Telangana, South Chhattisgarh, parts of Odisha, East Bihar, and West Bengal.

Parts of Haryana, Delhi, and West Uttar Pradesh might witness scattered rain and thunderstorms. Scattered rains and thunderstorms might also occur over Western Himalayas and the northern parts of Punjab.

Possibility of heatwave to severe heatwave conditions lies over east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, and Vidarbha. Heatwaves might also occur over Gangetic West Bengal.
