Zomato launches Pro Plus Membership offering unlimited deliveries

As of now, the new option is only available in 41 cities.

After launching a successful Initial Public Offer (IPO), on August 2, Moneycontrol reported that the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zomato Deepinder Goyal informed that the app would provide unlimited free deliveries for its 1.8 million Pro members in order to increase revenues.

He said in a tweet, “One of the most requested features from our customers has been “Unlimited Free Deliveries.” So… in a few hours, we are launching our Limited Edition *Pro Plus* membership for selected customers.”

This invite-only offer can be checked by customers after 6 pm today. In addition, Zomato Edition Black credit cardholders will be automatically updated to the latest option.

The new Pro Plus membership is similar to Amazon’s service for its Prime members.

Earlier, Zomato Gold was updated to Zomato Pro that provided discounts as well as dining. Such users receive additional discounts alongside a discount of 40 per cent for dining. It provides additional discounts over and above other offers along with 20 per cent faster order deliveries.

For now, the leading food delivery app has 1.8 million Pro users. The membership cost is ₹200 for three months and ₹750 for a year. Zomato Pro consists of no limit (daily, weekly or monthly) on the usage.

Zomato aims at starting its grocery service again which was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
