Zensar Technologies has announced plans to establish a new entity or branch in Qatar, as per the company’s board meeting held on 2 April 2026. The expansion aims to enhance the company’s footprint in the software and allied services industry.
The board of directors has given in-principle approval for the setup, which may be executed directly by Zensar Technologies or through its subsidiary companies. The new entity is tentatively named Zensar Technologies Qatar, although the final name will depend on the approval of the respective authorities in Qatar.
The company plans to subscribe to the minimum capital required for the new entity at face value. The exact size and turnover details of the new entity are yet to be determined, as the setup is still in the preliminary stages.
The new entity in Qatar will be considered a related party of Zensar Technologies, as it will be a step-down subsidiary or branch of its subsidiaries. However, the promoters and promoter group of Zensar Technologies do not have any direct interest in the new entity.
The primary industry focus of the new entity will be software and allied services, aligning with Zensar Technologies’ main line of business. The company has not disclosed any specific governmental or regulatory approvals required for this expansion, nor has it provided an indicative timeline for the completion of the setup.
The board meeting, where the decision was made, commenced at 4:00 PM and concluded at 6:45 PM IST on 2 April 2026.
