Following a highly successful launch in Delhi NCR, Uber has announced the expansion of its limited-edition Intercity Motorhomes campaign to Mumbai, Bangalore, and Pune. The service, which allows riders to book caravan-style motorhomes for outstation trips, will continue to operate in Delhi NCR until December 31, 2025.

Bookings for trips in Mumbai, Bangalore, and Pune will open on October 13, with rides available from October 15. The pilot in Delhi, launched in August, achieved 100% occupancy during its one-month trial, signaling strong demand for premium, private road travel experiences.

Uber Intercity has become a preferred choice for riders seeking dependable, comfortable, and flexible travel between cities,” said Shiva Shailendran, Director – Consumer Growth, Uber India and South Asia. “The growing popularity of Motorhomes reflects the rising appetite for comfort-first, long-distance road travel for quick getaways, family visits, and business trips alike.”

Each Intercity Motorhome is equipped with amenities including a television, microwave, mini-refrigerator, lavatory, and seats 4–5 passengers comfortably. Trips include a driver and helper, and can be booked in advance through Uber Reserve, with real-time ride tracking and 24×7 support. Bookings are recommended at least 48 hours in advance due to high demand.

The expansion comes ahead of the October–December travel season, a peak period in India driven by festive celebrations, weddings, and favorable weather for road trips. Uber Intercity currently operates across 3,000+ routes nationwide, providing a reliable, app-based alternative to traditional and unorganized travel options.

The Motorhomes campaign underscores Uber’s commitment to innovation in outstation travel, offering riders flexibility, comfort, and convenience for long-distance journeys across India.
