Tenneco Clean Air India Limited, in collaboration with the 15th Battalion of the Jat Regiment and Vaghmi Foundation, launched ‘Vriksharopan Abhiyan’, a large-scale tree plantation initiative, at the Jat Regiment premises in Lullanagar, Pune. The programme involves the plantation of 5,000 saplings, along with maintenance support for a period of 18 months to ensure long-term sustainability and environmental impact.

The initiative witnessed participation from Tenneco leadership, officers and personnel of the 15th Battalion of the Jat Regiment, and representatives from the Vaghmi Foundation. The programme underlines Tenneco’s continued focus on environmental conservation and its commitment to building meaningful community partnerships through collaborative action.

Commenting on the initiative, Rishi Verma, President, Tenneco India, said, “The Vriksharopan Abhiyan is a meaningful step in Tenneco’s larger ambition to contribute to India’s environmental priorities. Our focus is on nurturing long-term green cover through structured care, protection and scientific monitoring. Through this collaborative effort, we aim to create healthier, more resilient ecosystems that benefit the community for years to come.”

As part of the initiative, each sapling planted will be tagged and documented to facilitate systematic monitoring, survival tracking, and quarterly reporting by the Vaghmi Foundation.
