The Government has plans to redevelop the Central Vista in New Delhi. As a part of this plan, the Government plans to build a new building for the Parliament.
The Central Public Works Department has opened the bids for the construction of this building. As per sources, three Mumbai-based construction companies have been short-listed by the government. These are Tata Projects, Shapoorji Pallonji & Company and L&T (Larsen & Toubro).
As of now, the bids stand at Rs 861.90 crore from Tata Projects Ltd and Rs 865 crore from Larsen and Toubro Ltd.
The project will likely begin after the Monsoon Session this year.
However, There is no official statement made by any of these three companies as of now and nor the government has issued a statement on the same.
