Tata Power’s smart home automation brand EZ Home has been honoured in the Home Automation category at the AI/ML National Conference organised by the Ministry of Power at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. EZ Home was declared the sole winner in this category, standing out among shortlisted technology solution providers including Genus, Schneider Electric, Blaze and Adani.
The recognition forms part of the Ministry of Power’s initiative to highlight AI/ML-driven innovations shaping the future of India’s power distribution sector. Out of 195 applications received from DISCOMs, AMISPs, technology providers and home automation companies, 51 solutions were shortlisted for detailed evaluation.
Tata Power EZ Home was recognised for integrating home automation with smart meters through AI/ML-based data analytics, enabling a consumer-centric ecosystem that enhances convenience, safety and energy efficiency for households.
EZ Home offers a range of Wi-Fi-enabled smart switches, sensors, retrofittable modules, universal IR controllers and smart plugs, which integrate with existing home wiring. Through the EZ Home app and voice assistant compatibility, users can monitor appliance-level electricity consumption, automate routines, control devices remotely and receive insights to optimise energy usage.
The jury comprised representatives from NPTI, Google India, Microsoft India, Meta India and SARVAM, who appreciated EZ Home’s scalability, energy-intelligent features and accessibility.
Speaking on the achievement, the Tata Power spokesperson said that the recognition reinforces the company’s commitment to building AI-led digital solutions that enhance consumer experience and support India’s transition to future-ready energy systems. Tata Power also received recognition in the AMISP category at the same conference.
