Tata Power Solaroof, a division of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), has achieved 1 GWp of installed rooftop solar capacity within the first nine months of FY26, covering both Residential and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) segments. The company added over 1 GWp during the period, registering 127% year-on-year growth compared with 444.78 MWp installed in the corresponding period of FY25.

Customer adoption increased sharply, with 1.7 lakh new customers added during FY26 (9M), a 345% YoY rise over 38,494 customers added in the same period last year. This has taken Tata Power Solaroof’s cumulative customer base to over 3 lakh, with total installed rooftop solar capacity exceeding 4 GWp nationwide.

Q3 FY26 marked a breakout quarter, during which the company completed 58,476 installations and added 372 MWp of capacity, recording 242% YoY growth compared with 17,092 installations in Q3 FY25.

State-wise, Uttar Pradesh led installations during the nine-month period with 30,857 installations aggregating 128.13 MWp, followed by Maharashtra with 21,044 installations totaling 126.33 MWp. Gujarat added 18,907 installations contributing 143.02 MWp, while Telangana recorded 14,622 installations accounting for 62.08 MWp.

On a cumulative basis, Maharashtra emerged as the leading state with 41,827 installations delivering 855.21 MWp, followed by Gujarat with 31,624 installations and 525.81 MWp. Tamil Nadu added 8,633 installations aggregating 318.35 MWp, while Chhattisgarh contributed 8,068 installations with 285.62 MWp.
