Solex Energy Limited, a key player in India’s solar industry, has announced an ambitious investment plan of over ₹8,000 crores as part of its Vision 2030 strategy. The company aims to become a fully integrated solar brand by developing new technologies and expanding its manufacturing capacities. A significant part of this vision is the launch of India’s first rectangular cell-based solar modules, featuring advanced N-Type TOPcon technology.

Expansion of Manufacturing Capacity

Solex is exploring the development of a new cell manufacturing facility, starting with a 2 GW capacity, which is expected to scale up to 5 GW over time. Additionally, the company’s module manufacturing capacity will see a substantial increase, from its current 1.5 GW to 15 GW. This rapid expansion is part of Solex’s goal to meet the growing demand for solar energy solutions across the country. To support this growth, Solex plans to expand its workforce to over 25,000 employees.

Launch of N-Type TOPcon Technology with Tapi-R Series

A major milestone in the Vision 2030 plan is the introduction of the Tapi-R series—solar modules based on N-Type TOPcon Technology with a rectangular cell design. The series is designed to enhance power efficiency and reliability, especially in challenging environments such as deserts and barren lands. The modules will feature 182.2 x 210 mm cells and 132 half-cut cells, capable of delivering up to 625 WP of power with an impressive 23.14% efficiency.

The Tapi-R series, named after the Tapi River, stands out for its enhanced bifacial rate of approximately 80% and a power temperature coefficient of -0.28%/°C. It is built to cater to large-scale solar projects with tough environmental conditions. Additionally, the series comes with a 12-year product warranty and a 30-year linear performance guarantee, ensuring long-term performance and reliability.

Solex Energy’s Vision

Chetan Shah, Chairman & Managing Director of Solex Energy Limited, highlighted the importance of this vision by stating, “Vision 2030 represents a key milestone in our journey to becoming a fully integrated solar company. With the introduction of N-Type TOPcon Technology featuring Rectangular Cells, Solex Energy is raising the bar for efficiency and reliability.”

This comprehensive approach under Vision 2030 is aimed at driving the company’s growth in the solar energy sector, with a focus on technological advancements, production scalability, and workforce expansion.
