Alpex Solar has secured a ₹521 crore loan for its 120 MW solar power project, aligning with its vision to expand solar energy capacity in India. In addition to this project, Alpex Solar is planning a significant expansion with a new 1.6 GW solar cell manufacturing plant. This new facility will be developed in three phases, with a total estimated investment of ₹642 crore.
- First Phase: 500 MW, targeted for completion by October 2025.
- Second Phase: Expanding to 1,000 MW, expected by April 2026.
- Third Phase: Full 1.6 GW capacity to be reached by September 2026.
The project will be financed through bank loans, internal accruals, and equity infusion, supporting India’s push towards self-reliance in the renewable energy sector. The government’s focus on green energy, combined with rising demand for solar installations under various government schemes, is a key driver behind this initiative.
The new solar manufacturing facility will enhance the domestic industry’s production capacity, contributing to India’s sustainable energy goals and reducing reliance on conventional energy sources.
