Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited has announced the successful commissioning of Phase II of its Cold Rolling Mill (CRM) facility for colour coated sheets at its plant. The commercial production commenced on 16 April 2026, marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion strategy.

Shyam Sel and Power Limited (SSPL), a step-down subsidiary of Shyam Metalics, has added an incremental capacity of 0.15 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) with the commissioning of Phase II. This brings the total installed capacity for this facility to 0.40 MTPA, combining the existing Phase I capacity of 0.25 MTPA with the newly added Phase II capacity.

The enhancement is expected to significantly strengthen SSPL’s production capabilities and product offerings in the value-added steel segment. This development is part of the company’s phased capacity expansion strategy and is anticipated to enhance its manufacturing competitiveness and market presence in the colour coated sheets segment.
