Samsung’s chip demand increases by the second quarter in market. Amidst 2019 global pandemic Samsung watches rise in demand of computer chips in second quarter. It is mainly due to work from home culture,which has seen an upward trend after COVID-19. Therefore, Samsung’s chip demand increases as a result.

The world’s largest supplier of chips DRAM and NAND  will announce its April – June revenue on coming Tuesday.

According to Reuters report the increase in demand of memory chips is due to increase in virtual work.

However this will not offset the loss of sales of Samsung smartphones, due to fall in demand. About half percent of is earned by Samsung is from memory chips and rest through sales of smartphones. It is the leading seller of smartphones across the world.

According to Re infinitive report in Reuters the profit fell by 4.5% to 6.3 trillions earlier this year.

“Until uncertainty stemming from COVID-19 doesn’t go away. The sector’s outlook isn’t too positive.” said CW Chung,Nomura head of Korea to the sources.
