Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has emerged as the lowest bidder for a significant project awarded by the East Coast Railway. The contract involves the provision of Multi-Section Digital Axle Counter (MSDAC) to enhance reliability in the Absolute Block Section (ABS) from MZY to KUR and at various stations of the KUR division of East Coast Railway. The project includes alterations in the existing systems of M/s HITACHI Rail STS India Pvt. Ltd., MEDHA Servo Drives, and M/s Siemens Rail Automation (P) Ltd.
The contract, valued at ₹164,18,63,783.67, is expected to be executed over a period of 18 months. This project, which falls under the normal course of business for RVNL, is a domestic endeavour and does not involve any related party transactions.
The East Coast Railway has set general conditions for the contract, which will be adhered to by RVNL. The company has confirmed that neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in the entity awarding the contract.
