Furniture and home marketplace Pepperfry has launched its first factory outlet in India, choosing Pune as the starting point. With this, the company now operates six offline stores in the city.
The new outlet has been designed as a dedicated sofa and living room lounge, giving customers a more hands-on shopping experience. It features a wide range of sofas in different configurations, with an emphasis on comfort, design and usability. Shoppers can explore fabrics, upholstery and materials in person, helping them make more informed choices.
The store also allows customers to customise sofas based on their preferences and living spaces.
According to the company, the factory outlet format is aimed at improving accessibility while offering a broader range of products under one roof.
Commenting on the launch, Ashish Shah, Founder and CEO of Pepperfry, said:
“Pune has been one of our strongest growth markets, and we are excited to introduce our first factory outlet in India with this launch. This is just the beginning — we are aggressively expanding our footprint across geographies to bring Pepperfry closer to our customers. With this new format, we aim to create a more immersive buying experience, where customers can engage with our products — from comfort to fabric and customization — before making a decision.”
Pune continues to be a key market for the company, and the new outlet signals its ongoing investment in the region. Pepperfry said it will continue to build on its omnichannel strategy, combining its offline presence with its digital platform to enhance customer experience.
