OnePlus is all set to launch its anticipated OnePlus Ace 3 smartphone, known as the OnePlus 12R in India and other global markets, during the first week of January 2024. Officially confirmed by the company, the OnePlus 12 series, including the ‘R’ series, is scheduled to make its global debut on January 23, marking the first international appearance of the ‘R’ series.
As per information shared by a Digital Chat Station tipster, the OnePlus Ace 3 is set to make its first appearance in China on January 4, 2023.
Expected to feature a metal frame with an enhanced texture, the smartphone is poised to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, a flagship processor from the previous year.
Anticipated specifications include a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate utilizing LTPO technology. Reports suggest a peak brightness of 4500 nits, accompanied by support for 2160Hz PVM dimming.
The OnePlus Ace 3 is speculated to come with an IP54 certification, showcasing a circular camera island design on the back, resembling that of the OnePlus 12.
Fueled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor on a 4nm process, the OnePlus Ace 3 is expected to feature LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
The device is rumored to boast a glass body with a metal mid-frame, accommodating a robust 5,500mAh battery. Rapid-charging capabilities are anticipated through the 100W fast charger.
In India, the OnePlus Ace 3 is expected to run on Oxygen OS 14 based on Android 14, while the Chinese variant may operate on Color OS 14.
Reports hint at a 50 MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 16MP front-facing camera, catering to diverse photography and video calling needs.
