NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with (Nxtra) to explore business opportunities in renewable energy projects. The agreement, signed on 24th March 2026 at NTPC Bhawan, New Delhi, aims to develop renewable energy projects to supply renewable energy round-the-clock (RE RTC) power to Nxtra’s data centres across India for their captive consumption.

The MoU was formalised by Sh. , CEO of NGEL and NTPC REL, and Sh. , CEO of Nxtra. This partnership underscores the commitment of both companies to leverage renewable energy resources to meet the growing energy demands of data centres, which are crucial for digital infrastructure.

Nxtra Data Limited, a prominent player in the data centre industry, will benefit from this collaboration by securing a sustainable and reliable power supply, aligning with its sustainability goals. , known for its initiatives in renewable energy, will extend its expertise in developing and managing renewable energy projects to support Nxtra’s operations.
