NTPC Limited has declared the commercial operation date (COD) for parts of its Khavda Solar PV Projects in Gujarat, marking a significant milestone in its renewable energy expansion. The announcement was made by NTPC Green Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC.
The twelfth and final part capacity of 78.02 MW out of the 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project has been operational from 31st March 2026. Additionally, the sixth part capacity of 90 MW out of the 1,200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV Project has also commenced operations on the same date.
With these additions, the total installed capacity of the NTPC group now stands at 89,057 MW, while the commercial capacity is at 87,977 MW. This development underscores NTPC’s commitment to enhancing its renewable energy portfolio and contributing to India’s sustainable energy goals.
