NMDC has reported a substantial increase in its iron ore production and sales figures for March 2026, compared to the same period last year. The company’s production in March 2026 reached 5.35 million tonnes (MT), a notable rise from the 3.55 MT recorded in March 2025.

In terms of sales, achieved 5.90 MT in March 2026, up from 4.21 MT in March 2025. This growth is reflected in both the and sectors. In Chhattisgarh, production increased to 4.01 MT in March 2026 from 2.49 MT in March 2025, while sales rose to 4.25 MT from 2.72 MT in the same period.

Karnataka also saw an uptick, with production reaching 1.34 MT in March 2026, compared to 1.06 MT in March 2025. Sales in Karnataka were 1.65 MT in March 2026, up from 1.49 MT in March 2025.

Cumulatively, NMDC’s production for the fiscal year up to March 2026 was 53.15 MT, surpassing the 44.07 MT recorded up to March 2025. Similarly, cumulative sales for the fiscal year up to March 2026 were 50.23 MT, compared to 44.40 MT up to March 2025.
