Maruti India Limited has announced the commencement of commercial production at its second plant in , Haryana. This new facility has an annual production capacity of 2.5 lakh units, effectively doubling the total capacity at Kharkhoda to 5 lakh units.

With the addition of this plant, ‘s overall annual production capacity across its facilities in Gurugram, Manesar, and Kharkhoda in Haryana, as well as Hansalpur in Gujarat, has reached 26.5 lakh units. The Kharkhoda facility, once fully operational, is expected to become one of Suzuki’s largest four-wheeler manufacturing locations, boasting the capacity to produce 1 million vehicles per annum.

The expansion aligns with Maruti Suzuki’s previously stated plan to increase its production capacity by 5 lakh units in the fiscal year 2026–27. Currently, the Kharkhoda facility is engaged in manufacturing the compact SUV Brezza and the mid-SUV Victoris.

The foundation stone for the Kharkhoda facility was laid by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri in August 2022.
