Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited (MHRIL), a leader in the leisure hospitality sector, has announced the launch of two new resorts: Club Mahindra Amba Ghat in Maharashtra and Club Mahindra Bandhavgarh in Madhya Pradesh. This expansion adds 159 keys to the company’s portfolio, enhancing its presence in Western and Central India.
The new resorts are part of Club Mahindra’s strategy to introduce lesser-known destinations to Indian travellers, catering to the rising demand for leisure travel. MHRIL is focusing on a capital-efficient, asset-light approach to expand its portfolio through greenfield developments, management contracts, and other flexible operating models. This aligns with the company’s goal to scale its portfolio to 12,000 keys by FY30.
Manoj Bhat, Managing Director & CEO of Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited, commented on the launch, highlighting the growing preference for immersive, nature-led experiences among travellers. He emphasised Club Mahindra’s commitment to identifying and developing emerging leisure destinations for India’s holidaying families, aiming to become the most trusted leisure hospitality brand in the country.
The Amba Ghat resort, located along the Kolhapur–Ratnagiri route in Maharashtra’s Sahyadri ranges, offers 96 keys with river-facing apartments, providing a tranquil retreat amid lush landscapes. Meanwhile, the Bandhavgarh resort in Madhya Pradesh, known for its proximity to Bandhavgarh National Park, offers 63 keys with expansive verandas and uninterrupted forest views, offering an immersive wilderness experience.
These new destinations reflect Club Mahindra’s focus on providing immersive natural experiences for families and leisure travellers. The company recently launched Club Mahindra Nadiya Parao in Uttarakhand and signed a new property in Dapoli, Maharashtra.
