Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the new plant of Kaynes Semicon Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kaynes Technology India, at Sanand GIDC in Ahmedabad. The event marks a significant milestone for the company, enhancing its manufacturing capabilities.
The inauguration, held on 31st March 2026, was attended by various dignitaries and industry leaders. The new facility is expected to bolster the semiconductor manufacturing capacity of Kaynes Semicon, contributing to the ‘Make in India’ initiative by boosting local production and reducing dependency on imports.
The plant’s strategic location in the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) area provides it with logistical advantages and access to a skilled workforce. This development aligns with the company’s growth strategy to expand its footprint in the semiconductor sector, catering to both domestic and international markets.
Kaynes Technology India Limited, the parent company, has been focusing on expanding its operations to meet the increasing demand for semiconductors, driven by advancements in technology and the growing electronics industry in India.
