Karnataka’s Minister for Large & Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, M.B. Patil, visited Cyient DLM’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Mysuru, applauding the company’s role in advancing India’s aerospace and defense capabilities. The minister praised Cyient DLM for strengthening the country’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat missions through high-precision engineering and safety-critical electronics manufacturing.
During the visit, Minister Patil toured the production lines and reviewed key programs, noting that Cyient DLM’s advanced design-led manufacturing capacity is helping position Karnataka as a hub for Electronics Design and Manufacturing Services (EDMS). He highlighted the importance of such innovation-driven investments in shaping the state’s industrial future.
The minister additionally emphasized the success of the ‘Kaushal’ skilling initiative, a joint effort between Boeing and Cyient DLM aimed at developing talent for India’s emerging aerospace ecosystem. The program’s first batch graduated recently, providing a boost to local employment and specialized technical training, including support for disadvantaged groups and people with disabilities.
Founded in 1993 and listed on NSE, Cyient DLM offers integrated electronic manufacturing services for highly regulated and mission-critical sectors. The company manages end-to-end processes, including design, testing, precision machining and manufacturing, ensuring global-grade reliability and performance standards.
As Karnataka accelerates its plans to build a world-class manufacturing and aerospace ecosystem, the minister’s visit underscores the state’s commitment to supporting advanced electronics players and fostering skilled talent pipelines through public-private collaboration. Cyient DLM’s continued growth is expected to further strengthen India’s electronics and defense manufacturing landscape.
