Jyoti Structures Limited (JSL), a prominent global EPC company, has expanded its international power transmission portfolio by signing a joint venture contract with Limited for the construction of the Mannar–Mullikulam 220kV Double Circuit Transmission Line in Sri Lanka.

This strategic project, awarded by the National Transmission Network Service Provider (Private) Limited (NTNSP) under the Mullikulam Wind Power Transmission Project, aims to develop critical infrastructure to evacuate power generated by the Mullikulam Wind Power Projects to Sri Lanka’s national grid.

Amit Dutta, Chief Operating Officer of Limited, expressed pride in partnering with Hayleys Fentons on this landmark cross-border project. He emphasised JSL’s extensive expertise in high-voltage transmission infrastructure and its commitment to delivering a resilient transmission network that supports Sri Lanka’s renewable energy ambitions.

Hasith Prematillake, Managing Director of Hayleys Fentons Limited, highlighted the significance of the Mannar–Mullikulam 220kV transmission line as a vital component in harnessing the wind energy potential of the North into the national grid. He noted that this project aligns with Sri Lanka’s clean energy transition efforts and advances their own 50MW wind project in Mannar.

Roshane Perera, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Hayleys Solar, remarked that this project marks a new era for Hayleys Fentons as they expand into the infrastructure sector. He sees it as an opportunity to unlock new growth potential and build specialised expertise in power transmission and distribution projects.

The collaboration between Jyoti Structures and Hayleys Fentons signifies the growing momentum in regional energy infrastructure collaboration and strengthens JSL’s presence in transmission markets beyond India.
