JSW Neo Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited, has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for the development of a 200 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project. This award is part of MSEDCL’s Phase III Tariff-based Competitive Bid.

With this new project, JSW Energy’s total locked-in generation capacity has increased to 17.2 GW. This includes a hybrid capacity of 2.9 GW. The company currently has an operational capacity of 7.5 GW and expects to expand to 10 GW by FY25. This project aligns with JSW Energy’s broader strategy to transition into an energy products and services company.

“This is to inform you that JSW Neo Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, has received a letter of award for setting up a 200 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL – Phase III),” company said in exchange filing.

JSW Energy’s diverse portfolio now spans thermal, wind, hydro, and solar power, with additional projects under construction. The company also has a significant pipeline of renewable energy projects and aims to reach 20 GW of generation capacity by 2030. JSW Energy is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
