
With scooter companies such as Ola Electric and Ather energy amping up their infrastructure for increasing their distribution, Hero Motocrop has also joined the race to increase their infrastructure. Hero MotoCorp, a market leader in two-wheelers, and HPCL, a government-owned oil marketing firm, teamed up on Tuesday to build the nation’s electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
With the certainty of long-term solutions, this partnership exemplifies their efforts to enable a smooth transition of mass transportation toward EVs. Charging stations will be installed in a few cities during the initial phase. To create a high-density EV charging station network across the nation, these charging stations will also be extended to other important markets. With the help of such efforts, companies can now set up their charging stations for two-wheeler EVs across the country.

Both companies will set up charging stations in the already existing network of nationwide energy stations, which are likely to be widened based on supplementary business opportunities. Joshi stressed the need for EVs in the current climate scenario of the country. He wanted to encourage of usage of more EVs around the country.
