Godrej Industries Group has announced its continued partnership with Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest, as the city’s flagship literary festival gears up for its 16th edition. Scheduled to be held from November 7 to 9, 2025, at NCPA, Nariman Point, the three-day festival will bring together over 120 writers, speakers, thinkers, and performers from more than ten countries.
This year’s edition promises a vibrant mix of stories, debates, and cultural experiences that reflect Mumbai’s diverse spirit. Alongside its signature events — including The Great Debate, Book in Focus, and The Little Festival for Children — the LitFest will feature performances, workshops, and special sessions by the Godrej DEI Lab, focusing on the themes of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
In an effort to make the festival more accessible, over 15 sessions will include Indian Sign Language (ISL) interpretation by Access for All, who will also host a zine-making workshop for children to foster empathy. A sensory-friendly tent in the Open-Air Plaza will offer a calming space for neurodivergent children, featuring tactile materials, soft seating, and noise-cancelling tools.
Speaking about the partnership, Nadir Godrej, Chairperson of Godrej Industries Group, said:
“Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest is a celebration of Mumbai’s spirit — a city that thrives on stories in its streets, people, and culture. At Godrej, we believe in the power of storytelling and are proud to support this platform once again. This edition promises a rich tapestry of conversations, performances, and reflections celebrating literature and life.”
The festival will also host the prestigious Godrej Literature Live! Awards, recognizing excellence in Fiction, Non-Fiction, Business, and Playwriting. Additionally, Gujarati poet Sitanshu Yashaschandra will be honoured as Poet Laureate, while Hindi novelist and poet Vinod Kumar Shukla will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Festival Co-Director Amy Fernandes added:
“As we celebrate 16 years of Literature Live!, it’s inspiring to see how the festival has grown into a vibrant hub for ideas and dialogue. Our collaboration with Godrej Industries continues to shape this journey as a true celebration of Mumbai’s literary and cultural fabric.”
