Elon Musk invited to open business in Karnataka by state government

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and Twitter, was introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who also extended an invitation for him to look into business prospects in India.

Business tycoon Elon Musk has been invited to establish firms in the southern state of Karnataka by the Karnataka government. In a tweet, MB Patil, the minister of commerce and industries for Karnataka, stated that his state is the “ideal destination” for Tesla’s development into India.

“If Tesla considers setting up a plant in India, Karnataka, with its great potential and capabilities, I must say is The Destination,” he continued.

Karnataka, a forward-thinking state and a booming centre of innovation and technology, stated in a tweet that Patil tagged Musk’s account, “stands ready to support and provide the necessary facilities for Tesla and other ventures of Elon Musk, including Starlink.”

In order to advance the state for the next decades, Karnataka, according to Patil, is focusing on being the centre for manufacturing and technology 5.0.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla and Twitter, while he was on a current state visit to the US, and he asked him to look into investment prospects in India’s fast growing commercial space industry and in electric transportation.

After meeting with PM Modi, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk expressed his excitement for India’s future to reporters, saying that it has more promise than any other major nation in the world. Musk is also the founder and CEO of SpaceX.

Next year, I could travel back to India again. Musk continued, “I’m looking forward to that.

To a question from a reporter, Musk said that he was certain that his automobile firm, Tesla, will be in India “as soon as humanly possible.” “I want to thank PM Modi for his support, and hopefully we can make an announcement soon,” he said. Musk responded to a question on when Tesla will be in India by saying, “We don’t want to jump the gun with an announcement but it’s quite likely that there will be a significant investment for India in the future.”

He smiled and responded, “I have never changed my mind,” to a fast follow-up inquiry from reporters about what made him think differently about Tesla’s investments in India.

By the end of 2023, Tesla is apparently planning to reveal where its next facility will be. The expansion of Musk’s Starlink services to India was another indication of his interest. Operated by Musk’s firm SpaceX, Starlink is a satellite-based internet service provider. By bringing in private firms, India wants to take use of the potential in the space industry.
