Deccan Cements has issued a public notice addressing allegations made by former employee Pasupuleti Suresh Babu. The company stated that Mr. Babu was asked to resign due to behavioural issues and subsequently refused to vacate company quarters for 22 months, necessitating police intervention.

Following his resignation, Mr. Babu has been involved in what Deccan Cements describes as a campaign to defame the company. This includes filing frivolous cases in various forums, such as the National Green Tribunal (NGT) and the Telangana High Court, which have been dismissed as baseless. Additionally, Mr. Babu has been accused of spreading false information through media bites and social media posts under the guise of environmental activism.

Deccan Cements has urged stakeholders and media outlets to disregard these allegations, which they claim are made with malafide intent. The company emphasised its commitment to environmental preservation, holding ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications, and receiving a 5-star rating from the Ministry of Mines for its sustainable development efforts.
