Zydus Wellness Limited has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Alidac UK Limited, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire UK-based Comfort Click Limited along with its subsidiaries in Ireland, the United States, and India. This is the company’s first overseas acquisition and marks its entry into the Vitamins, Minerals and Supplements (VMS) segment.
Comfort Click reported unaudited revenues of GBP 134 million for the financial year ending June 30, 2025, with a five-year compound annual growth rate of 57 percent. The company recorded an adjusted operating profit of GBP 21 million. Its equity value for the transaction has been set at GBP 239 million, subject to customary adjustments under the share purchase agreement.
The company has been recognised by the Financial Times in 2024 and 2025 as one of Europe’s 1000 fastest-growing companies. It operates in the UK, European markets, and the US, with a product portfolio across adult, child, and pet nutrition. Its brands include WeightWorld, which focuses on plant-based supplements, vitamins, minerals, collagen, omegas, probiotics, micronutrients, and sports nutrition; maxmedix, which offers gummy-based nutritional products for children; and Animigo, which provides natural VMS products for pets.
The European VMS market is estimated at around GBP 11 billion. Globally, the digital VMS segment is projected to grow at a compound annual rate of 7 to 9 percent through 2030, reaching between USD 50 and 60 billion by the end of the decade, supported by factors such as rising health awareness, the adoption of preventive healthcare, and the expansion of e-commerce and digital health platforms.
