Zodiac Energy Limited announced that it has acquired a majority stake in Dhwarkesh Solar Projects LLP, effective August 22, 2025. Following the acquisition, Zodiac Energy now holds a 50% ownership interest in the LLP through direct capital contribution, making Dhwarkesh Solar Projects LLP an associate of the Company.
Dhwarkesh Solar Projects LLP, incorporated in November 2020, is engaged in setting up solar power plants, generating electricity through solar energy, and selling solar power. The total capital contribution by the LLP stands at Rs. 20,000, of which Zodiac Energy has contributed Rs. 10,000. The LLP has reported nil turnover over the past three financial years.
The acquisition, executed on an arm’s length basis, aligns with Zodiac Energy’s strategic objective of expanding its presence in the renewable energy sector. No governmental or regulatory approvals were required for the transaction, which was completed in cash.
This move marks a significant step in Zodiac Energy’s growth strategy in the solar energy space, complementing its existing business operations and further strengthening its renewable energy portfolio.
