Wipro Limited, a leading global technology services and consulting company, announced today the extension of its partnership with Marelli, a global leader in automotive solutions. This extension, a four-year project, will focus on cloud transformation and enhancing operational efficiency to drive innovation and reduce time-to-market.
The project will involve Wipro FullStride Cloud migrating Marelli’s Milan Data Centre, along with its local server rooms, to the cloud. The move aims to centralize Marelli’s operations, creating a more agile, flexible, and stable ecosystem. This transformation will empower Marelli to quickly adapt to market changes and foster continuous innovation within the company, thus strengthening its competitive edge.
Graziella Neuvéglise, Regional Head & Managing Director for Southern Europe at Wipro, and Executive Sponsor for Marelli, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “We are excited to begin a new chapter in our strategic partnership with our trusted partner, Marelli. Our deep understanding of their needs, combined with our technical expertise, will help deliver a modernization program tailored specifically to their business requirements.”
The cloud migration is also set to enhance employee support services by introducing AI-powered virtual assistants, providing vulnerability management services, and offering comprehensive application maintenance. These measures are designed to drive innovation, optimize costs, and reduce the need for future reworks, ensuring long-term efficiency and operational savings.
Vittorio Rossetti, Chief Digital Officer of Marelli, highlighted the longstanding partnership with Wipro, noting, “Over the years, the Wipro team has developed an in-depth understanding of our business. Their technical expertise and insights will enable us to further advance our IT infrastructure.”
The project extension also emphasizes Marelli’s ongoing journey towards modernization and growth, with plans to strengthen its IT infrastructure for future business requirements.
